ELLIE JO
I was born and raised in the Louisiana Delta, where the values of community and strong relationships shaped the foundation for how I approach both life and health. That path led me to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Natural and Theoretical Sciences from Samford University in 1997 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Belmont University in 2002. My desire to support whole-person health inspired me to pursue training in integrative wellness, earning a Health Coaching Certification from Duke Integrative Medicine and becoming nationally board-certified through the National Board of Medical Examiners in 2020.
My professional journey has shown me that the most powerful path to long-term mobility comes from blending the science of physical therapy with the wisdom of yoga. I believe everyone can have a yoga practice that fits his or her unique body and needs, a practice that supports strength, ease, and freedom of movement at any stage of life.
Outside of my work you’ll often find me exploring the outdoors, reading, painting, or spending time with my three children and husband. These passions fuel both my creativity and my commitment to helping others live with vitality and balance.
